  • Leah Frisby is a licensed, pediatric speech and language therapist with more than 5 years of experience. Leah works with children in a range of different contexts, including establishing and managing speech and language therapy services in school settings.  Leah has been invited to speak about the work she has carried out in schools in a range of professional events and conferences in the United Kingdom, and has provided advisory services to schools and speech and language therapy services in London and the South East of England. In 2015, Leah led the team which was highly commended at the “Shine a Light Awards”, from Pearson Assessment and The Communication Trust (a leading coalition of UK based charities supporting young people’s speech, language and communication) in recognition of work carried out to support, develop and promote the importance of children’s communication skills. Leah has specialist experience in working with school-age children.

  • Leah is caring and child-centered in her approach to practice and has a wide range of experience in assessment, treatment and support for children with a range of communication challenges; including receptive and expressive language disorders, speech disorders, language delay, cognitive impairment, selective mutism, social communication disorders, and autism.

  • Leah enjoys working with children on an individual, small group or whole class basis, as well working with parents and other professionals to support the development of children’s communication skills and to create communication friendly environments for learning and interacting.

  • Leah is passionate about communication, and loves the platform that speech and language therapy provides to develop communication skills, unlock potential for learning, and support children and adolescents to reach their potential academically, socially and personally.
