What is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal , also called laser epilation is the treatment of choice for the removing unwanted hair. This painless hair removal procedure is one of the most popular and commonly performed cosmetic procedures. The mechanism of removing hair is based on light absorption of the follicular pigment (Melanin) while hair is in anagen (active phase of hair cycle where synthesis of hair takes place). Then, laser light ray is converted to heat, causing thermal damage to the follicle without harming the surrounding tissue.
